• the lake is part of the Blackstone River watershed
• while maximum depths reach 67′, the average depth is 21′ The lake is moderately fertile
• Horseshoe has an irregular shoreline with a perimeter of 31.5 km (20 miles)
• the lake has been stocked with rainbow trout
• the structure, cover and forage base in this lake provide lots of opportunities for catching pike and both bass species
• a public boat launch is located on the southeast end of the lake off of Allan Crescent
• Horseshoe Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
