• 6 creeks flow into the lake and the Commanda Creek flows out of the lake on the north side
• the perimeter of the lake is 18.9 km (11.8 miles)
• while the lake reaches maximum depths of 51′, the average depth is 15′
• the lake favours a warm water fishery
• major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, northern pike and perch
• Deer Lake is located in Fisheries Management Zone 15
