Lake Facts::

  • High Lake is located along Hwy. 141 northwest of Bracebridge Ontario in the Muskoka District
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 14′ Long. 79° 29′
  • several streams flow into High Lake. There is an outlet on the southeast side flowing into Skeleton Lake
  • the perimeter of the lake is 5 km (3.2 miles)
  • brook and lake trout were stocked in the lake many years ago but were unable to establish themselves as a viable population
  • submerged logs and stumps can be found along the shorline as well as overhanging trees, rocks, reeds, weeds and lily pads in the shallows
  • the lake has been stocked with rainbow trout fingerlings in recent years
  • there is a public boat launch off of Bower Lane
  • High Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
