• Lake Temagami is located approx. 100 km. north of North Bay along Hwy. 11
• co-ordinates: Lat. 47° 00′ 23″ Long. 80° 04′ 45″
• maximum depth 109 metres (360′)
• average depth 18 metres (60′)
• it has a surface area of 20,971 hectares (51,800 acres)
  the perimeter is approx. 1500 km. with shorelines that range from high cliffs to rock rubble to gravel beaches and forests that touch the water’s edge
• the lake is part of the Nipissing drainage system. The main outlet is the Temagami River at Outlet Bay on the South Arm. Water levels are controlled by a dam at this location
• boat launches are located within Finlayson Point Provincial Park and at the end of the Lake Temagami Access Road where the Northeast Arm meets the Hub area
• the major fish species include: lake trout, walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, whitefish, lake herring, bluegill, rock bass
  there are several sanctuary areas on the lake in the spring
• the Temagami Area Fish Involvement Program has worked hard to improve spawning sites on the lake and also operates a hatchery on Lakeshore Drive
• Lake Temagami is located within the boundaries of Fisheries Management Zone 11
