Lake Facts:

• Fushimi Lake is located on the north side of Hwy. 11 west of the town of Hearst in the Cochrane District
• co-ordinates: Lat. 49° 49′ 22″ Long. 83° 53′ 05″
• the lake is surrounded by Fushimi Lake Provincial Park. It is part of the Pivabiska/Missinaibi and Moose River drainage basin
• while the lake has a maximum depth of 30′, the average depth is 10′
• the perimeter of the lake is 45.6 km (28.5 miles)
• the surface area of the lake is 1,230 hectares (3,040 acres)
• the lake is quite shallow and favours a warm water fishery
• the major fish species include walleye, northern pike, whitefish and perch
• a public boat launch is located within the park’s boundaries
• Fushimi Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 3
