Lake Facts:

• Whitefish Lake is located near the village of Seeleys Bay in the County of Leeds and Grenville
• co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 30′ 57″ Long. 76° 14′ 23″
• Whitefish Lake is part of the Rideau Canal Waterway and connects to Sand lake via several locks at the north end and to Little Cranberry Lake on the south end via Murphy’s Narrows
• the lake reaches maximum depths of 23′ (Morton Bay)
• this long and narrow lake is quite shallow with large weed beds. Submerged logs and stumps litter several bays
• the lake’s shoreline drops off quickly into deeper water (Morton Bay and the Hog Island area). These drop off areas as well the points, rock piles, shoals and humps attract smallmouth bass
• a public boat launch is located off of Bay St. (in Seeleys Bay). From the launch follow the Rideau Canal north through Murphy’s Narrows into Whitefish Lake
• Whitefish Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
