Benson Lake is located west of Chaffey’s Lock in Leeds and Grenville County
the lake is part of the Rideau River Canal System. It connects to Mosquito, Loon, Indian, Clear and Newboro Lakes (without having to go through any locks)
Benson Lake is quite shallow. The southwest section does reach depths of 45′
weedbeds found in the lake consist primarily of milfoil and coontail. Submerged logs and stumps can also be found in these waters. Largemouth bass and pike predominate in these areas
access to the lake is from a private marina on Indian Lake from which you can follow the north side of Indian Lake and go in a westerly direction to Benson Lake
Benson Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
