Palmerston Lake is located along Hwy. 509 adjacent to the village of Ompah Ontario in Frontenac County
co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 00′ 58″ Long. 76° 50′ 30″
water exits Palmerston Lake via a dam on the north end and flows into Canonto Lake
while the lake reaches depths of 185′, the average depth is 67′
the perimeter of the lake is approx. 20.8 km (13 miles)
the lake used to have a very good lake trout fishery but it has dropped off over the years. A slot size was introduced to help conserve and revive the fishery
a public boat launch is located near the dam on the north end of the lake
Palmerston Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
