  • Palmerston Lake is located along Hwy. 509 adjacent to the village of Ompah Ontario in Frontenac County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 00′ 58″ Long. 76° 50′ 30″
  • water exits Palmerston Lake via a dam on the north end and flows into Canonto Lake
  • while the lake reaches depths of 185′, the average depth is 67′
  • the perimeter of the lake is approx. 20.8 km (13 miles)
  • the lake used to have a very good lake trout fishery but it has dropped off over the years. A slot size was introduced to help conserve and revive the fishery
  • a public boat launch is located near the dam on the north end of the lake
  • Palmerston Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
