  • Sparrow Lake is located on the west side of Hwy. 11 south of Gravenhurst Ontario
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 48′ 47″ Long. 79° 23′ 14″
  • the lake is part of the Trent Severn Waterway system and is a part of the Severn River watershed
  • the primary inflows are the Severn and Kahshe Rivers. The Severn River flows out of the lake on the northwest side
  • the Severn River exits the lake on the northwest end and flows westward to Gloucester Pool
  • while the lake reaches depths of 11.6 metres (38′), the average depth is 4.3 metres (14′)
  • the surface area is 1123 hectares (2773 acres)
  • the lake has a wide variety of fish holding structure and cover
