  • Skeleton Lake is located along Hwy. 141 (off of Hwy. 11) west of Utterson in the Muskoka District.
  • Three Mile Lake is on the other side of Highway 141
  • while the maximum depth reaches 212′, the average depth is 94′
  • the perimeter of the lake is 36 km. (23 miles)
  • this spring fed lake has a limestone base and the water is quite clear. There is not a lot of weed growth in this lake
  • there are 30 islands within the lake. 8 streams flow into the lake and the Skeleton River exits the lake via a dam on the southwest corner
  • a public boat launch is located along Skeleton Lake Rd. #3
  • Skeleton Lake is situated within the boundaries of Fisheries Management Zone 15
