Lake Facts:

• Long Lake is located along Hwy. 169 south of Bala Ontario in the Muskoka District
• co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 59′ Long. 79° 36′
• Long Lake is part of the Gibson River drainage basin
  while the lake reaches maximum depths of 17 metres (55′), the average depth is 6 metres (19′)
• the perimeter of the lake is 10.3 km (6.5 miles)
• submerged logs can be found along the shorelines as well as overhanging trees. Reeds and weeds can be found in the shallows. Rubble shorelines, points and quick drop offs are smallmouth bass attractors
• the lake has been stocked regularly with rainbow trout to produce a put, grow and take year round fishery. Winter and early spring are the best times to catch these fish as they tend to be in shallower waters in the 10′-15′ range. Deeper in the summer
• there is a cement pad public boat launch on the south side of the lake off of Hwy.169
• Long Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
