• Lake Vernon is located at the town of Huntsville Ontario in the Muskoka District
• the lake is part of a “tri-lakes” system that also includes Fairy and Peninsula Lake
• while the lake reaches depths of 122′, the average depth is 41′
• the perimeter of the lake is 49 km (31 miles)
• the Big East River flows in on the north side and water flows out on the east side via the Narrows into Fairy Lake
• the lake has been stocked with lake trout
• the major fish species include northern pike, small and largemouth bass, lake trout and perch
• Lake Vernon is located with Fisheries Management Zone 15
