  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 57′ 58″ Long. 79° 44′ 57″
  • Gibson Lake is located on the east side of Hwy. 400 just north of Six Mile Lake Provincial Park in the Muskoka District
  • the lake borders the Wahta Mohawk Territory
  • the lake is long (7 km.) and narrow consisting of 2 basins connected by a narrows. There are a number of shallow weedy bays along the lake’s length that provides good habitat for bass and pike
  • water exits the lake via the Gibson River at the northern basin eventually flowing into Georgian Bay
  • a public boat launch is located on the south end of the lake
  • Gibson Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
