Gibson Lake is located on the east side of Hwy. 400 just north of Six Mile Lake Provincial Park in the Muskoka District
the lake borders the Wahta Mohawk Territory
the lake is long (7 km.) and narrow consisting of 2 basins connected by a narrows. There are a number of shallow weedy bays along the lake’s length that provides good habitat for bass and pike
water exits the lake via the Gibson River at the northern basin eventually flowing into Georgian Bay
a public boat launch is located on the south end of the lake
Gibson Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
