  • Memesagamesing Lake is located west of Port Loring on the north side of Hwy. 522
    co-ordinates: Lat. 46° 01′ 13″ Long. 79° 54′ 12″
  • the lake has an irregular shoreline with plenty of bays, islands, narrows, rock piles, shoals, underwater humps and more
  • the Rainy Creek enters the lake on the south side (a sanctuary area). Water drains out of the lake on the west end via a dam to Playfair Lake
  • the perimeter of the lake is 54.2 km (33.9 miles)
  • the lake has been regularly stocked with walleye largely due to the efforts of a community walleye hatchery which has been engaged in this activity since 1983
  • major fish species include lake trout, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, whitefish, herring and perch
  • Memesagamesing Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 11
