  • Caribou Lake is located on the north side of Hwy. 522 west of Port Loring in the District of Parry Sound
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 55′ 58″ Long. 80° 04′ 23″
  • the lake has a perimeter of 26 km. (16 miles)
  • the lake reaches depths of over 180′
  • there are lots of deep and shallower underwater humps that provide great fishing structure for all the major fish species
  • Caribou is a spring fed lake with half a dozen inflowing streams. Water exits the lake on the west end and flows into Dollars Lake
  • the lake has been regularly stocked with walleye fingerlings
  • a public boat launch is located off of Caribou Lake Road
  • Caribou Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 11
