Bernard Lake is a deep lake that supports a cold water fishery. While maximum depths reach 157′, the average depth is 29′
the perimeter of the lake is 22 km. (13.8 miles)
major fish species include lake trout, whitefish, smallmouth bass. Rainbow trout were stocked in the lake in the 1970’s. Some are still present and reproduce naturally. There is a dwindling population of brook trout but are no longer a prime targeted species. Lake trout and
whitefish are the main targets during the ice fishing season
