  • Wicksteed Lake is located east of the village of Marten River in the District of Nipissing
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 49° 19′ 05″ Long. 84° 47′ 02″
  • the Marten River flows into the lake on the north end and exits the south end via the Wicksteed Hydro Dam on its way to Marten Lake
  • the lake lies within the boundaries of the Kenny Forest Provincial Nature Reserve
  • the lake reaches depths of 40’+
  • this long and narrow lake (except of the irregularly shaped south end) has a variety of structure and cover including islands, points, rock piles, shoals, slow tapering and quick drop offs, weed beds, submerged stumps and logs
  • a public boat launch is located adjacent to the dam
