Major Lake Species:  Northern Pike, Walleye, Whitefish, Yellow Perch, Lake Trout

• White Lake is located on either side of Hwy. 17, 35 km west of the town of White River Ontario in the District of Thunder Bay
• co-ordinates: Lat. 48° 47′ Long. 85° 37′
• the lake has a perimeter of 144 km (90 miles)
• while the lake reaches depths of 160′, the average depth is 28′
• there are good weed and cabbage beds in Clay Bay, at the mouth of the Shabotik River and North Bay
• current areas can be found in the Narrows area and on either side of the bridge and in the narrow sections south of the mouth of the White River
• there are a series of deep holes in the south end of the lake and river that hold walleye all year round
• there are several sanctuary areas that are closed to fishing in the spring
• there is a boat launch within the boundaries of White Lake Provincial Park. Another is on the west side of The Narrows on the north side of Hwy. 17
• White Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 7
