• Wawa Lake is located beside the town of Wawa Ontario in the District of Algoma
• co-ordinates: Lat. 48° 00′ 46″ Long. 84° 43′ 18″
• 11 creeks and streams flow into the lake. The Wawa Creek exits the lake on the southwest end
• this spring fed lake consists of two basins. The larger and deeper western basin reaches maximum depths of 108′ and is more productive for trout in the summer months
• the average depth of the lake is 51′
• the perimeter of the lake is 20 km (12.6 miles)
• the surface area of the lake is 677 hectares (1,674 acres)
• the lake hosts an annual winter lake trout ice fishing derby
• a good concrete boat launch is located at William Teddy Park
• the major fish species include lake trout, whitefish, rainbow trout and yellow perch
• Wawa Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 7
