  • Wakami Lake is located on the south side of Hwy.667, southeast of Chapleau in the District of Sudbury
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 47° 29′ 22″ Long. 82° 51′ 02″
  • the Wakami River flows into this long narrow lake on the south end and exits the lake via a dam on the northeast side. The construction of the dam resulted in the water levels rising by about 6.5′ Submerged logs and stumps can be found in many of the bays
  • the lake sits within Wakami Lake Provincial Park
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 48′, the average depth is 18′
  • this relatively shallow lake supports a warm water fishery
  • the surface area of the lake is 1,712 hectares (4,232 acres)
  • the perimeter of the lake is 65.6 km (41 miles)
  • a public boat launch is located within the park
