Rabbit Lake is a large “Y” shaped waterbody consisting of a single basin
while the lake reaches maximum depths of 140′, the average depth is 46′
the perimeter of the lake is 105 km (65 miles)
the surface area is 2,106 hectares (5,204 acres)
water exits the lake via a dam on Outlet Bay and flows into the Matabitchuan River
focus on the central axis of the lake for lake trout
a public boat launch is located off of the Rabbit Lake access road. You can also reach the Northwest Bay of Rabbit Lake from Cassels Lake which has a public boat launch along Gillies Road
Rabbit Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 11
