• Rabbit Lake is located east of the town of Temagami in the District of Nipissing
• co-ordinates: Lat. 46° 59′ 23″ Long. 79° 38′ 50″
• Rabbit Lake is a large “Y” shaped waterbody consisting of a single basin
• while the lake reaches maximum depths of 140′, the average depth is 46′
• the perimeter of the lake is 105 km (65 miles)
• the surface area is 2,106 hectares (5,204 acres)
• water exits the lake via a dam on Outlet Bay and flows into the Matabitchuan River
• focus on the central axis of the lake for lake trout
• a public boat launch is located off of the Rabbit Lake access road. You can also reach the Northwest Bay of Rabbit Lake from Cassels Lake which has a public boat launch along Gillies Road
• Rabbit Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 11
