Net Lake is located on the east side of Hwy. 11 just north of the town of Temagami in the District of Nipissing
co-ordinates: Lat. 47° 06′ 24″ Long. 79° 46′ 40″
this long narrow irregular shaped lake connects to Cassels, Thieving Bear and Kanichee Lake
while the lake reaches maximum depths of 156′, the average depth is 28′
the perimeter of the lake is 64 km (40 miles)
the surface area is 710 hectares (1,756 acres)
popular walleye fishing areas include the inflows from Thieving Bear and Kanichee Lakes, the Net Creek inflow, the Highway 11 and the Northland Railway narrows
there are several spring sanctuary areas
there is a public boat launch approx. 1 km north of the bridge at the picnic area
the major fish species include walleye, northern pike lake trout, smallmouth bass, perch and cisco
