  • Net Lake is located on the east side of Hwy. 11 just north of the town of Temagami in the District of Nipissing
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 47° 06′ 24″ Long. 79° 46′ 40″
  • this long narrow irregular shaped lake connects to Cassels, Thieving Bear and Kanichee Lake
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 156′, the average depth is 28′
  • the perimeter of the lake is 64 km (40 miles)
  • the surface area is 710 hectares (1,756 acres)
  • popular walleye fishing areas include the inflows from Thieving Bear and Kanichee Lakes, the Net Creek inflow, the Highway 11 and the Northland Railway narrows
  • there are several spring sanctuary areas
  • there is a public boat launch approx. 1 km north of the bridge at the picnic area
  • the major fish species include walleye, northern pike lake trout, smallmouth bass, perch and cisco
  • Net Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 11
