Manitowik Lake is located northeast of the town of Wawa Ontario off of Hwy. 547 in the District of Algoma
co-ordinates: Lat. 48° 09′ 49″ Long. 84° 22′ 25″
Manitowik Lake is part of the Michipicoten River system. The river flows into the lake on the north end and exits the south end on its way to Whitefish Lake
while the lake reaches maximum depths of 390′ the average depth is 123′
the lake has a perimeter of 92.8 km (58 miles)
there are more than twenty creeks flowing into the lake. Be sure to fish these inflows for walleye and pike
the lake has a number of sanctuary areas at creek and river inflows in the spring
you can boat into Manitowik Lake via Whitefish Lake from a small boat launch just north of the Cats Falls control dam
Manitowik Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 7
