  • Manitowik Lake is located northeast of the town of Wawa Ontario off of Hwy. 547 in the District of Algoma

  • Manitowik Lake is part of the Michipicoten River system. The river flows into the lake on the north end and exits the south end on its way to Whitefish Lake
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 390′ the average depth is 123′
  • the lake has a perimeter of 92.8 km (58 miles)
  • there are more than twenty creeks flowing into the lake. Be sure to fish these inflows for walleye and pike
  • the lake has a number of sanctuary areas at creek and river inflows in the spring
  • you can boat into Manitowik Lake via Whitefish Lake from a small boat launch just north of the Cats Falls control dam
