• Kabinakagami Lake is located approx. 112 km north of the town of Wawa in the Algoma District
• co-ordinates: Lat. 48° 54′ 29″ Long. 84° 24′ 23″
• the Kabinakagami River flows into the lake on the south end and exits on the northeast The Oba River enters on the north end and exits on the east
  while the lake reaches maximum depths of 50′, the average depth is 10′
  the perimeter of the lake is 200 km (125 miles)
• the lake has a surface area 10,803 hectares (26,694 acres) which encompass 147 islands
• there is a wide variety of fish holding structure and cover including rock rubble shorelines, underwater humps, shoals, saddles between islands, narrows, channels, inflowing waters, weedy bays and submerged logs and stumps
  the lake supports a warm water fishery
• Fisheries Management Zone 7 regulations apply to the lake
• due to its shallow nature, it supports a warm water fishery
• there are half a dozen sanctuary areas at various inflows in the spring
