the lake lies within the boundaries of Missinaibi Provincial Park and the larger Chapleau Game Preserve
the lake is divided into three sections: the Northwest Arm, the Southwest Arm and the East Arm
the lake offers a variety of structure and cover including steep drop offs, weedy bays, islands, points, shoals, reefs, narrow channels, rocky and sandy shorelines, slow tapering drop offs, sandbars and cabbage beds
while the lake reaches depths of 300′, the average depth is 61′
