Major Lake Species:   Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Muskie

Lake Facts:

• Lake Dore is located in along Hwy. 41 north of Eganville Ontario in Renfrew County
• co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 37′ 04″ Long. 77° 06′ 54″
• half a dozen streams flow into the lake and the Snake River exits the lake on northeast side
• the perimeter of the lake is 17 km (10.8 miles)
• while the lake reaches depths of 60′, the average depth is 25′
• the shoreline on the southeast side of the lake has a lot of rock rubble and drops off fairly quickly into deep water
• the south west end of the lake is shallower and has lots of reeds, weeds, cattail as do the shallows on the north side. Look for pike and largemouth bass in these areas
• a public boat launch is located on the southwest side of the lake off of Smith Bay Road
• the major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, northern pike, and a small population of walleye. Muskie have also been introduced in the past
• Lake Dore is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 15
