Lake Facts:

• Hay Lake is located on the west side of Hwy. 127 south of Whitney Ontario in the Nipissing District
• co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 22′ Long. 76° 11′
• the lake sits on the eastern edge of Algonquin Park.
• water flows into the lake on the south end from Drizzle Lake and exits the north end via the Hay Lake Dam into Otter Creek
• the lake consists of two basins connected by a narrows. The southern basin is the shallower of the two. There are swampy weedy areas and also contain submerged logs and stumps
• Lower Hay Lake is much deeper reaching depths of 110′. The average depth is 70′
• a concrete public boat launch is located off of Hay Lake Road on the southeast side of the lake
• major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, walleye, lake trout and perch
• Hay Lake is located in Fisheries Management Zone 15
