Twelve Mile Lake is situated on the west side of Hwy. 35 between Carnarvon and Minden in Haliburton County
co-ordinates: Lat.45° 01′ 31″ Long. 78° 42′ 21″
Twelve Mile Lake is part of a chain of Canadian Shield lakes running along Hwy. 35 between Dorset and Minden. Water from Little Boshkung Lake enters on the north side and exits via a dam into Mountain Lake on the south side
the perimeter of the lake is 12.5 km. (7.8 miles)
the average depth is 39′. Deepest areas of the lake reach 90′
a concrete public boat launch is located between the two bridges on Hwy. 118 just north of Twelve Mile Lake. You can boat in a southerly direction through Little Boshkung Lake back to Twelve Mile from there
