• the lake reaches maximum depths of 80’+
• the perimeter of the lake is 10.1 km (6.3 miles)
• this cottage lake is tree lined and there are submerged logs as well as weeds and lily pads which provide good cover for largemouth bass in the shallows
• there is a naturally reproducing population of lake trout
• there are no public boat launches on the lake
• Thanet Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 15
