  • Salmon Trout Lake is located along Musclow Greenview Road northeast of Bancroft Ontario in Hastings County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 11′ 24″ Long. 77° 48′ 47″
  • one creek flows into the lake on the north end and the Salmon Trout Creek exits the south end
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 40′ (12.3 metres), the average depth is 20′
  • the lake has a surface area of 109 hectares (270 acres)
  • this cottage lake is tree lined with some submerged logs and stumps, reeds and lily pads in the shallows
  • the lake is set up nicely for long trolling runs on either side for walleye. Stop and fish vertically when you approach any point
  • a public boat launch is located on the north end of the lake off of Salmon Trout Lake Road
  • the major fish species include smallmouth bass and walleye
