Lake Facts:

  • Papineau Lake is located off of Hwy. 62 west of Combermere in Hastings County
    co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 20′ 42″ Long. 77° 48′ 52″
  • the lake reaches maximum depths of 200’+
  • several creeks flow into the lake and these inflow areas will hold pike. For larger pike try some of the deeper underwater humps in mid summer
  • main lake points, submerged shoals, rocky shorelines that contain submerged logs are areas to try for smallmouth bass
  • Papineau Lake offers nice trolling runs for lake trout. After ice out try the shallows in 10′-15′ adjacent to deeper water
  • there are two public boat launches. One is on the west side of the lake off of Papineau Lake Road and the other is on the north end of the lake off of Bark Lake Road
  • Papineau Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
