Lake Facts:

  • Faraday Lake is located west of Bancroft Ontario off of Hwy. 28 in Hastings County. It can be reached by following Monck Lake Road (off of Hwy. 28) and Trout Lake Road to Faraday Lake
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 11′ 19″ Long. 77° 55′ 20″
  • the lake consists of 3 basins each of which has a large eastern bay
  • the lake reaches a maximum depth of 80’+
  • there are steep drop offs around the main points of the lake that make for good trolling runs.
  • Submerged logs, stumps and overhanging trees provide good cover for bass. Reeds and arrowheads can be found in the shallows
  • there is a public boat launch on the south west side of the lake off of Trout Lake Road
  • the lake has a naturally reproducing population of lake trout
  • Faraday Lake is found in Fisheries Management Zone 15
