Lake Facts:
Eels Lake is located on the west side of Hwy. 28 south of Bancroft Ontario in Hastings County
co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 53′ 51″ Long. 78° 07′ 55″
Farrel and Eels Creek enter the lake on the northeast end and Eels Creek exits via a dam on the south side
this irregular shaped Canadian Shield lake reaches depths of 80’+
the lake consists of 4 basins connected by a series of narrows. A water drawdown occurs in the fall
there is a wide variety of fish holding structure including rock piles, shoals, underwater humps, narrows, points, islands, quick drop offs as well as shallow weedy areas
a sand gravel public boat launch is located off of Eels Lake Public Landing Road
Eels Lake is situated within the boundaries of Fisheries Management Zone 15
