  • Cashel Lake can be found about halfway between Madoc and Bancroft by following Weslemkoon Lake Road (off of Hwy. 62) to Gunter and from there heading north to Egan Creek Road and on to the lake
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 54′ 54″ Long. 77° 33′ 02″
  • water flows out of the lake on the north end into Mephisto Lake and flows in on the south end from Gunter Lake
  • the lake consists of 2 basins connected by a narrows. Water depths reach 94′. The average depth is 23′
  • this clear water lake sits on a limestone base
  • a public boat launch is found along Jolley Lane which runs off of Egan Creek Road on the west side of the lake
