  • Bay Lake is located south of Bancroft Ontario on the west side of Hwy. 62 along Bay Lake Road in Hastings County
  • co-ordinates: Lat 45° 01′ Long. 77° 51′
  • a public concrete boat launch is located off of Bay Lake Road. You will have to boat back underneath a culvert (below Bay Lake Road) to get back into the main lake
  • this cottage lake reaches maximum depth of 71′
  • due to its depth the lake developes a distinct thermocline in the summer and turns over in the fall
  • aside from cottage docks, the inshore zone has rock rubble areas, submerged logs and stumps with reeds and arrowheads in the shallows
  • Bay Lake is located within the boundaries of Fisheries Management Zone 15
