water flows into the lake from Fortescue Lake on the east side and exits via a dam on the north side. From there it flows north into Salerno Lake
the perimeter of the lake is 7.5 km (4.7 miles)
while the lake reaches maximum depths of 34′, the average depth is 12′. A drawdown occurs in the fall exposing massive amounts of submerged logs and stumps that litter the bays of the lake. This cover and various structural forms such as points, rock rubble shoreline, drop offs provide excellent fish holding areas
major fish species include muskie, large and smallmouth bass and yellow perch
