Lake Facts:

  • Beaver Lake is located within the Kawartha Highlands Park east of Hwy. 507 in the northern portion of Peterborough County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 45′ Long. 78° 17′
  • the lake is connected to Gold Lake to the south and Catchacoma Lake to the west. Water levels are regulated by means of a dam on the south end of Mississagua Lake. A draw down occurs in the fall. Care should be taken when venturing into the narrows connecting to Gold and Catchacoma Lake
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 60′, the average depth is 21′ the perimeter of the lake is 10.7 km (6.7 miles)
  • a public boat launch is located at the second bridge along Beaver Lake Road
  • Beaver Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
