Gull Lake is located on the west side of Lake Temagami in Scholes Township within the District of Nipissing
co-ordinates: Lat. 46° 54′ Long. 80° 12′
while the lake reaches maximum depths of 180′, the average depth is 66′
the perimeter of the lake is 48 km (30 miles)
the surface area of the lake is1,312 hectares (3,244 acres)
the lake consists of a north and south basin connected by a narrows in the central part of the lake
there are long stretches of fast breaking shorelines that make for good trolling runs for lake trout at the start of the season
there is no direct launching point on the lake. Access is via a portage from the Southwest Arm of Lake Temagami to Skunk Lake and from there to the east side of Gull Lake
the major fish species include lake trout, smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike and yellow perch
