Catfish Lake is located 16 km north of the town of Wawa along Hwy. 17 in the Algoma District
co-ordinates: Lat. 48° 05′ 28″ Long. 84° 48′ 06″
Catfish Creek enters the lake on the north end and exits on the south end
the lake has several shallow bays that are worth exploring for pike at the start of the season. The Catfish Creek inlet is a good place to start your spring walleye fishing. Try fishing around the two large islands and underwater humps as the season progresses
while the lake reaches maximum depths of 132′, the average depth is 38′
the perimeter of the lake is 11 km (6.9 miles)
the surface area is 159 hectares (395 acres)
there is a public boat launch on the south end of the lake off of Hwy. 17
