  • South Lake is located on the west side of County Road 32 north of the town of Gananoque Ontario in Frontenac County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 26′ 03″ Long. 76° 13′ 17″
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 48′, the average depth is 17.5′
  • the perimeter of the lake is 10.8 km (6.8 miles)
  • the surface area of the lake is 219 hectares (543 acres)
  • the lake favours a warm water fishery. Fish the mouths of inflowing creeks and weed beds on the east and west ends of the lake for largemouth bass and pike.
  • Try the mid lake island shorelines and drop offs as well as the south shore line for smallmouth bass
  • there is a private sand/gravel based launch on the east side of the lake where County Road 32 crosses South Lake Creek
  • South Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
