Lake Facts:

• Otter Lake is located along Hwy. 15 south of Smiths Falls Ontario in the County of Leeds and Grenville
• co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 47′ Long. 76° 07′
• Otter Lake is considered a moderately fertile (mesotrophic) lake that favours a warm/cool water fishery
• the outflow is at the north end via Otter Creek
• this spring fed lake reaches maximum depths of 120′. The average depth is 33′
• the perimeter of the lake is approx. 20 km (13 miles)
• the surface area is 602 hectares (1,488 acres)
• the lake has been stocked with rainbow trout
• Otter Lake has a wide variety of structure such as points, shoals, underwater humps, islands, gradual and fast drop offs that make for very good fish holding structure especially smallmouth bass and pike
• there is a public gravel based boat launch along Hwy. 15
• the major fish species include northern pike, smallmouth bass and a smaller population of largemouth bass
• Otter Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 18
