Lake Facts:

  • Long Lake is located south of Perth Ontario and just a bit north of Murphy’s Point Provincial Park along Long Lake Road in Lanark County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 47′ 36″ Long. 76° 14′ 46″
    water flows out of the lake via a creek to Adam Lake which in turn drains into Big Rideau Lake
  • while the lake reaches depths of 65′, the average depth is 16′
  • there are shallow weedy bays on the east and west end that hold both largemouth bass and pike
  • smallmouth bass can be found along sections of rocky rubble shoreline (of the mainland and several islands) as well as point drop offs
  • a public boat launch, administered by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, is located along Long Lake Road on the north side of the lake
  • the major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, pike, bluegill, pumpkinseed and yellow perch
  • fishing regulations pertaining to Fisheries Management Zone 18 apply to Long Lake
