  • Indian Lake (part of the Rideau Lock system) is located near Chaffeys Lock in the County of Leeds & Grenville
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 35′ 32″ Long. 76° 19′ 37″
  • Indian Lake connects to Opinicon Lake via Chaffey’s Lock on the southeast end of the lake. Benson Lake flows into Indian via Benson Creek on the northwest end and Clear Lake flows in from the northeast
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 85′, the average depth is 33′
  • the perimeter of the lake is 16.4 km (10.3 miles)
  • the surface area is 266 hectares (658 acres)
  • the lake used to have a population of lake trout which declined due to over fishing. Since that time splake (a cross between lake and speckled trout) have been stocked
  • launching facilities are available for a fee at Indian Lake Marine
  • Indian Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
