  • Clear Lake is part of the Rideau River Canal and Lock System and is located north of Chaffey’s Locks in the county of Leeds and Grenville
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 36′ Long. 76° 18′
  • an angler can boat from Clear Lake to Newboro, Indian, Benson, Mosquito and Loon Lake without having to go through any of the locks
  • the lake reaches maximum depths of 113′
  • unlike some of the other connected lakes, Clear Lake is deeper, has faster breaking drop offs, underwater humps and shoals
  • there are some shallower areas on the west and east sides that contain milfoil and lily pad beds
  • access to the lake is from a private marina on Indian Lake or a concrete launch at Chaffeys Lock
  • Clear Lake is located in Fisheries Management Zone 18
