Charleston Lake is located east of Lyndhurst Ontario in Leeds & Grenville County
co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 32′ 05″ Long. 76° 00′ 57″
a large part of the shoreline is situated within the boundaries of Charleston Lake Provincial Park
while the lake reaches depths of 91 metres (300′), the average depth is 17.4 metres (57′)
the perimeter of the lake is 152 km (94.6 miles)
the surface area of the lake is 2,518 hectares
(6,220 acres)
public boat launches can be found within the provincial park, on the south end of the lake at the village of Outlet and on the north end at the village of Charleston
there are some restrictions governing the usage of motor boats near interior park camping sites
Charleston has been stocked with lake trout
numerous shallow and deep underwater humps offer excellent locations for smallmouth bass and lake trout.
Large pike who prefer cooler water can also be caught in these locations
Charleston Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 18
