Lake Facts:

  • Canoe Lake is located east of the town of Verona and close to Frontenac Provincial Park in Frontenac County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 35′ Long. 76° 33′
  • water flows out of this long narrow lake on the south end via a dam and moves on to Desert Lake
  • while the lake reaches depths of 155′, the average depth is 75′
  • the perimeter of the lake is 20 km (12.4 miles)
  • the surface area is 291.4 hectares (720 acres)
  • largemouth bass and pike can be found in the shallower bays. There are long stretches of rock rubble shoreline that smallmouth bass frequent. Troll these same stretches for lake trout but in deeper water
  • a public boat launch is located on the south end of the lake along Wilson Road on the east side of the bridge
  • Canoe Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 18
