• Big Salmon Lake is located within Frontenac Provincial Park in Frontenac County
• co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 32′ 24″ Long. 76° 29′ 51″
• while the lake reaches depths of 139′, the average depth is 43′
• the lake has a perimeter of 15.2 km (9.5 miles)
• the surface area is 111.5 hectares (366 acres)
• there are several shallow bays with some weed growth that hold largemouth bass. Target smallmouth bass along the rocky shorelines, points and underwater humps. The lake has a naturally reproducing population of lake trout
• the public access point is located on the southwest end of the lake off of Salmon Lake Road
• gas powered motors are not permitted on the lake
• Big Salmon Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
