  • the lake has a perimeter of 15.2 km (9.5 miles)
  • the surface area is 111.5 hectares (366 acres)
  • there are several shallow bays with some weed growth that hold largemouth bass. Target smallmouth bass along the rocky shorelines, points and underwater humps. The lake has a naturally reproducing population of lake trout
  • the public access point is located on the southwest end of the lake off of Salmon Lake Road
  • gas powered motors are not permitted on the lake
  • Big Salmon Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
