  • this moderately fertile lake supports a warm water fishery
  • there is a lot of vegetative cover for the primary gamefish including extensive weed beds, dense cattail and reed beds
  • while the lake reaches depths of 14′, the average depth is only 5′
  • the perimeter of the lake is 18 km (11 miles)
  • a gravel based public boat launch is located at Camden East Centennial Park on the north end of the lake
  • Varty Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
