- Wellers Bay is located in Prince Edward County south of Trenton Ontario near the Bay of Quinte
- the bay is connected to Lake Ontario via 2 shallow sandy channels one of which is regularly dredged. A sand bank/beach separates the bay from Lake Ontario
- Consecon Creek enters the bay on the east end
- it is approx. 8 km. long and surrounded by farmland and residences
- the bay’s bottom is composed primarily of sand and mud. The average depth is 2.8 metres (9′)
- there are lots of weed beds along the shoreline
- Wellers Bay is situated in Fisheries Management Zone 20
