Skootamatta Lake is located on the west side of Hwy. 41 just north of the town of Cloyne in Lennox Addington County
co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 50′ 15″ Long. 77° 14′ 51″
the lake is part of the Moira River watershed. The Skootamatta River enters the lake on the north side and exits the southeast side. The lake connects to Sheldrake Lake via a small narrows along Hughes Landing Road
while the lake reaches depths of 99′, the average depth is 24′
the perimeter of the lake is 49 km (31 miles)
the surface area of the lake is 1,286 hectares (3,178 acres)
a rough boat launch can be found at the end of Hughes Landing Road on the southwest side of the lake. Another is on the northeast side off of Jacques Bay Road
